Cereal Box Design
Problem:
I was tasked with creating a completely fictional cereal box with an original character and an original cereal concept. It must also be eye-catching and also competitive with other cereal brands in the market.
Solution:
I began with the idea of creating the cereal box with a Houston theme. I then decided to go with Texas instead so that way it wouldn't be too specific, and therefore I could add more elements to it. The character was created from a sketch I created, I definitely know that the character had to be the Texas outline. I went with star shaped cereal because Texas is the lone star state, and I found that fitting with the theme of the cereal box. I created the marshmallow pieces in order to give it more of the Texas theme, so I created a boot, a horse, and a horseshoe to portray that. I wanted it to be competitive with children's cereal, so I made it colorful and vibrant so that it can catch the eye of younger consumers.
Result:
The result is a creative cereal box concept that it unique and interesting. It is attention grabbing and can be marketed toward younger people who would enjoy this kind of cereal.
