Magazine Cover
Thriftin'
Magazine Cover
Problem:
A magazine cover that is competitive with the professionally created ones on the market. It must have a cover image, masthead, and a featured article cover line along with selling lines. Overall, it must be on par with industry leading magazine covers.

Solution:
I had the idea of creating a magazine cover for a very unique subject, thrift shopping. I knew that there was an audience for this subject, and that I could market it toward those people. I then moved onto the design portion of the cover. I learned from writer Rebecca Gross that angle, placement, and size create a one point perspective (2018). With this information, I took a photo of the thrift store in an interesting arrangement that would draw the reader in. I also created taglines and a masthead that were also visually attractive and meaningful to the work.

Result:
I created a magazine cover that is interesting and visually impressive. It competes with other lifestyle magazine covers and includes compelling taglines and featured article titles.
