Problem:
Creating a compelling and interesting movie poster that created interest in the movie from the viewer. It must include a thoughtful design along with other elements such as a title, release date, and a memorable tagline. It must also have an cover image that creates impact, a balanced design, and be detail oriented down to the pixels.
Solution:
I wanted to create a movie poster that was based on a sci-fi movie because I find those to be very interesting. I took this picture myself, then found the unidentified object in the sky online, it is actually a laser that has been modified to look hazy and mysterious. I also used layer effects and filters to give it an interesting look overall. I learned in my research from writer Abbey Snitker that it is important to keep movie posters bold and simple (2016). Therefore, I tried to make it straightforward and at the same time interesting and a movie that someone would actually like to watch.

Result:
I created a simple and interesting movie poster that creates impact in the viewer. I did a lot of detail work and had a lot of fun creating this project. I believe it has a well thought out design and features all the necessary elements of a movie poster.
